Heroin, Pot, Meth Seized In South Jersey Traffic Stop

More than 200 baggies of heroin and two pounds of marijuana were seized in a traffic stop in Atlantic County, authorities said.

On Sunday, April 16, shortly after midnight, Brigantine police stopped a motor vehicle in the 3800 block of Brigantine Blvd. for multiple motor vehicle violations, Brigantine police said.

A narcotics detection K9 was requested to respond to the scene.

Atlantic City Police K9 Narco arrived at the scene and conducted a K9 sniff of the vehicle. K9 Narco indicated the presence of narcotic odor during the sniff, and a search of the vehicle was conducted by police. The search yielded over 200 baggies of suspected heroin, over two pounds of marijuana, and a quantity of suspected methamphetamine, police said.

Jamirr T. Arthur, 24, of Atlantic City was arrested and charged with three counts of distribution of controlled dangerous substances, three counts of possession of controlled dangerous substances, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. as well as multiple motor vehicle violations, police said.

Arthur was being held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending a detention hearing.
